Off the road routes range from easy trails to challenging ones.Remeber to ask for a basket to be attached to your bike for your belongings. Its FOC^.^ I rented my bike for $6 a day. When we went further on, we saw another shop renting the bike for $2 a day!

Pulau Ubin Jetty is where you alight and depart Ubin. For departure, just wait at the jetty and the 12 passengers rule will apply. You will have to wait for enough passengers before you can depart. Else pay the bumboat captain the balance of the $24 and you would have immediate departure.

Pulau Ubin has plenty of snakes - some venomous, some not..
Black Spitting Cobra?
Marbled Sea Snake?
Shore Pit Viper?
Dog-toothed Cat Snake?
Sounds scary doesn't it? Well, to give you a bigger scare, let me assure you that I didn't make the names up. Hell yes, there's more than 10 varieties of snakes found in Pulau Ubin alone. 20 to be exact. But there's no need to be freak out .While some of these creatures are bloody very dangerous, they're incredibly shy. Just don't go out of the way to find them..you might get poisened by them...So,Stick to the main road and you'll not encounter too many (if any) snakes. If you venture off the main road, make sure you've got suitable footwear and watch your step! By: Charles Wong & Jasmine Tan
